Final Weekend Washed Out

All three games ended in abandonments for Thors in the final round of Tolchards Devon Cricket League fixtures.

The 1st XI were left wondering what might have been after the entire set of A Division fixtures were abandoned without a ball bowled. The 1s had a feint chance of promotion going into the final round but ended up 13 points short of second placed Tavistock. The 3rd placed finish in the second tier is the club’s highest league finish since 1987.

The 2nd XI got underway at Station Ground, reaching 59-2 in 14 overs before rain brought a premature end to proceedings. The twos end 2025 in 5th place in the E Division, despite just one win in the final six games.

The 3rd XI also got underway at Clyst Hydon and had taken two Kenn wickets in 16 overs before the game was abandoned. The nine points from the result means the 3s are promoted as runners up in the H Division Central. Congratulations to James Meredith & all involved in the 3rd XI this year!

Thank you to all our members, volunteers & sponsors who have made DCL cricket possible this year!
