We are glad to report that the renovations to the square have been completed despite the weather over the last week.
The square has been dug up & replaced with a much thicker quantity of loam, more suitable for creating cricket pitches. The square has never been professionally laid & was essentially a farmers field when the club returned to the current Station Ground in 1972.

We hope for good weather over the winter to allow the new square to bed-in. Some of the excess soil from the existing square has been used to help level uneven parts of the outfield.
